FATHER'S DAY

Awakened long before I had hoped by my vigilant watchdogs, who yap at every sound they hear.  Got up with the older grand, then the younger one, and fixed them drinks and a breakfast snack and me coffee to tide us over for awhile.  My daughter got up and made pancakes, eggs, and bacon for us for Father's Day.  Susan got up and came down to help.  We all had our fill and then some.  Soon thereafter they packed up and headed home so the girls could spend most of Father's Day with their dad, who had just returned last night from an out of town conference.  I got dressed, went to church solo, and we had a light lunch.  We spent the afternoon resting and napping, then Susan fixed a Low Country Boil, and we watched Netflix movies.  A restful day, which we both needed.
